SOL

Simple O'gara Living is a two-level, 911  square foot, dwelling located in the historic mining community of Cripple Creek, Colorado. Cross ventilation, photovoltaic glass, direct solar gain, and a water catching roof allows SOL to coexist within the sustainable community. The design is specialized to accommodate a family of three, the O'Garas. The first floor includes a kitchen, full bathroom, dining room, storage under a lofted studio and living space. The second floor is a large space that can be broken down into individual sleeping areas with the use of fold down beds and hide away partition walls situated on a track system. SOL provides the O'garas with a comfortable solution to simple living.
